I guess I've all but abandoned this blog. I've been meaning to post but I've had a lot going on and the internet isn't one of my top priorities. Finally got a job, so between that, school, and currently not living at home, I haven't had much free time. Zach is now living in South Korea, and I'm trying to save money for a trip there, among other things.
The only art I've made lately has been for school. I've made some pieces I'm fond of, and tried a lot of different things, but the access I have to a scanner is really limited, so that's why I haven't posted anything like that lately.
For the most part the only social networking type site I'm active on is Instagram. With the fall semester starting to wind down I'm not going to have the time to organize any posts on here, but hopefully sometime somewhere in the near future I will be able to.

Lots of pics, since I haven't really posted here much lately. Summer has kind of been all over the place and has definitely had its ups and downs. Over the past few months I've gone on a lot of small adventures, as well as the summer gallery crawl, the NHL Draft, Kennywood, the Carnegie Science Center, and the Three Rivers Arts Festival. We celebrated the fourth of July with a small cookout and our annual trip downtown to watch fireworks.
Lately most of my time has been consumed by looking for jobs, working on important life issues, watching movies, and playing video games. A lot of the summer has been too hot to do anything. I'm very much ready to start the new semester next month and actually have something important to do on a daily basis.

I finally got around to watching this! I've wanted to see it since it came out, but it's taken me this long to watch it at last. It was pretty cute, I think. I'm not a very big fan of Owen Wilson but I was really surprised at how many other stars were in this. And of course it was filmed beautifully.

This is the first digital drawing I have completed in a very, very long time. It was also my first time using Paint Tool Sai in years! I like how this looks, though I know there are a ton of things that could be improved upon. I guess I'm just trying to get a feel for it again. Obviously inspired by my interest in succulents and girls with horns. Hopefully I'll make more soon.

For Father's Day we took a trip to the aviary ("take 2" because we also went last summer, and I made a post about that trip too!). If you couldn't tell, I really, really like penguins. They're just so cute! I love watching them. I was pretty sad that Wookiee the sloth was sleeping the entire time we were there, but otherwise it was a fun trip.

Nicole By OPI "Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam," and then with Sinful Colors "Pearl Harbor" on top.
Zoya "Sylvie," and Wet 'n Wild Megalast "On A Trip."
"Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam" is probably my favorite color right now. It's gorgeous! "Pearl Harbor" is also gorgeous, and I have a feeling it will look great layered over pretty much anything. I'm also really liking "On A Trip"; it reminds me of a Julep color I have but lighter with a more lavender hue to it.
As for "Sylvie," I can't say I'm that impressed. The color is pretty, but it's almost identical to an L.A. Colors polish I have, and it had noticeable wear after less than 24 hours. It's also kind of sheer, which I'm not too fond of in a polish.
I have several more polishes I have yet to try out, and some that I'm very excited about, so I'll probably have another post like this sometime in the near future. This started out as a nail polish blog, although I have been moving in a different direction with it-- but I do still love polish :)
